Jean Le Cam / Yes We Cam!
Jean Le Cam talks this morning of head seas and light wind conditions and how he has relentless competitors showing up on the AIS (automatic identification system for nearby boats)!

"There is very little wind and I try to keep the boat moving forward as best as I can. I have Groupe APICIL next to me which is nice. And for once, there is no water on deck, it's not bad. There is sea which is coming from head on so it's not easy to get the boat moving forward, we have between 5 and 8 knots of wind. It's not bad! The wind is due to pick up gradually as we go south. We're getting out of this infernal zone. Things are starting to improve, and we already have 7 knots of wind. But we can’t complain all the time! One minute you have too much next minute there is not enough.

Damien and I chatted on the edge of the exclusion zone. It was great that we had really been going for it before.  The pace depends on our what you are doing and on the sail changes. I've just slept for an hour, it's not bad at all... As soon as I wake up, I immediately check to see where the other one is. Benjamin (Dutreux) is really not far away. He's doing really well, and not falling back. I'm surrounded by people who don't let up, that is for sure! It annoys me that he is going faster than I am so, I don't know what I'm going to do. Maybe I'll put up more sail, but I don't get carried away.”
