We have been going to the north-east to try and avoid a large area of lighter airs and (for me, anyway), try to pass north of the main part of a depression which is forming (cyclogenesis?) which is set to give 30+ knots.

In the end it is not really possible to avoid this depression because I needed to be faster. I ran into Alexia yesterday afternoon - very nice to be in the middle of nowhere in the Indian Ocean!
And then in the dark night I found the windshift, well it found me as the boat tacked itself which is always a nice surprise, but it was not too windy. What was incredible was that the temperature climbed several degrees and the air coming from the north which has been feeding the low's genesis was hot and humid, tropical. Tomorrow it will be a nice storm that will hit the Kerguelens.
Here, the wind climbs slowly, between 22 and 34 knots and it is gettging wet outside. Strange, that!
