Yesterday, I had the most difficult conditions of the race so far. For days I had seen the low that would cross from a SE'ly direction. I was finally able to avoid its center, going directly south to under Tasmania from the AMSA Australia.

"The wind was up to 35 knots with stronger gusts and heavily crosssed seas coming from behind and from ahead, a sea that I still have now, although already lighter winds and with some sun.

Everything went well on the boat, despite the fatigue accumulated by trimmming the sails, I am happy with the boat's response and can't wait for the new front approaching me from the west. This time softer. I will try to stay with it as long as possible to be able to stay as close as possible to the boats in front, even if it is difficult to chase it is always good to have a reference.

I will be passing well south of New Zealand so only the vast Pacific Ocean will remain on my bow with Cape Horn as the next target."
