Clément Giraud (Compagnie du Lit/JILITI) 21st on the dock......
“I was able to finish under the 100 days mark, that is a bit crazy. It was full of adventure. I was always happy to be racing around the globe. I must admit that in my head I thought it was going to be more complicated than this.

"Right now I have the impression of waking up from a dream, a dream of three extraordinary months on different facets, be it personal, sporting, or even from my boat that I cannot thank enough for having brought me to this point, to the end.

Erik Nigon showed me his boat barely a year before the start, it was crazy. And my team did a great job. From A to Z I have been blessed by the gods.
I didn't want to believe that I was going to be able to arrive in less than 100 days and at the same time, from the equator, I saw that there was a possibility of doing it. Less than 100 days is not bad, especially when you know that the first one made 80.

In this Vendée Globe, I don't feel like I've learned anything, I tried to really just stay with the boat, to do what it was capable of giving, to understand what I was doing and to find solutions to weather problems. The first 15 days hurt me a lot psychologically. I felt it hard really. I wanted to be careful, but by being too careful I was dropping back. I had to park my ego aside and being at the back of the pack was tough. I let the other natural feelings prevail and got into the rhythm I took my rest, got into a daily rhythm and just stayed with it. If you would have told me a week ago that this was going to last another month, it wouldn't have been a big deal. "
